my boyfriend never reads my blog....but if he did, i have a sneaky suspicion he'd love me even more, for linking to this artist.

i came back across the website of margot quan knight and was again elated, especially after seeing the rubber johnny video. her stuff is uber weird and interesting. im really excited about all the photomontage/performance/sculpture stuff thats been going on lately. ugg. if only i had space, a dvcam, and lots of money for rubber and fabric and crap.....someday......

maybe ill post some images from a performance i did last year???

tomer and asaf hanuka have a new blog.

it really takes the viewer through their illustration process, which is hot...if youre into that sort of thing. the pictures are nice tooooo.

so im super bummed because derrick hodgson has basically no content or his website at the moment, but maybe its because he has been SO busy with his show that just ended at the magic pony yeah, yeah, im sure that must be what it is.....im sure he'll up date again REAL soooon.....*sob

im going to try to pick up his new book asap, since i figure it will be a pretty small pressing.

adversaries or partners in crime? i have yet to decide.
either way i have a total crush on the boys at art dorks.

sometimes an artist comes along that is so bizarre or fresh or whatever, that i become so over stimulated that i dont know whether to puke or masterbate... thanks sam!

you can see a write up about his thesis show on the crown dozen page.

or

check out more of his work at the claire oliver gallery
check out other (and more professional) e-blog/mags

pixelsurgeon and crowndozen

okay. what an awesome day for blogging. i swear, just when i think i have the whole internet memorized, i find a whole plethora of new and inspiring work... YAH!

first up, terry richardson has changed around his site a bit. there is a bit less content, but, its terry, and it rocks, so it still deserves a peek. if that doesnt get your rocks off and you still NEED more....check out terryworld or any of his other published works.

in addition to this, i also discovered today, his online mag richardson mag which is the total hottness. photo work by him and many others wokring in a similar style....(some weird/cool stuff by harmony korrine ***sooon) and an essay-ish thing with jenna jameson...bombshell extraordinaire.

wall eyed and vacant

heres a goldfish i drew the other day. i really miss mine.

so ive been being pretty misrable lately. i have very little time to myself, and its a super bummer....plus, i dont have my own place anymore, and im feeling pretty cramped.

tonight when i got home, i found my copy of camilla rose garcias book, "the saddest place on earth" had arrived. its really awesome and inspiring, so i spent a few hours drawing. it took me a long time to get warmed up.

this is an old drawing i found when i was going through some papers and junk.

the fascists over at barbie forced the body shop to "cease and desist" using this ad, since it was "offensive to the image of barbie."

both these ads came from best rejected advertising its a cool site, i wish it has more content tho!

this ad makes me want to go out and buy an eastpack backpack...well, not really, but its still a sweet ad. too bad the government cut that junk down.

drugs are bad, ummm-kay?

in moscow, a new exhibition showcases the dangers of drug use. umm-kay?

If you use at&t, cingular, or t-mobile, then i am very jealous of you.....

go now to start mobile to download wallspapers from all your fav artists!

a long awaited update from meeee......

ok. so, ive finally gotten around to cleaning off my desk and hooking up all my gadgetry. Lately, ive been focusing on drawing "tattooable" stuff... i guess i would describe it as traditional iconic images combined with my own viual vocabulary. this drawing here isnt the best example of that, but whatevs, ill post more soon.

so ive really been having fun with it. there are a lot of stylized images that you have to know how to draw, such as roses, and daggers, and decapitated heads and crap, and its fun to put my own personal spin on them. its nice to not have to over think stuff for once....to just be able to make good art.
